Another Perfect Day

We spent about 2-3hours at Mill Lake today and went through about 2-3 weather changes too! It was cloudy and cold, windy and damp, and then sunny and mild. We loved every minute! The boys spent their time exploring the shore line, the plant life and the bugs rather than really playing at the playgrounds. Getting wet and muddy is the best part about being a little boy. I, of course, adore watching them and capturing it all on my camera. I've made progress with photographing them and no longer beg them to give me a grin (they both have the most beautiful contagious smiles and it's hard not try and cokes one out). I have realized that just letting them play and catching that is a beautiful memory too. I wore them out so much that they are BOTH sleeping now and I'm using the time to do this. Hope you enjoy the pictures, I loved taking them.

My "girls"

I had the privilege of having four kids for most of the day Sunday. My nieces hung out with us and I took the opportunity to spoil them rotten. We ate and played at McDonalds, headed to the park and then had an impromptu egg hunt at our house before their mom had to pick them up. This is the girls enjoying the new playground at Fish Trap Park in abbotsford.

The Haircut

So today Brenda and I thought it would be fun to take a shaver to my son's head...heehee. Needless to say it did not turn out the way I expected. After a quick trip to the barber it was good as new.

Here is the before. "Just take a little off the sides mom" oops:)

And the after...still stinken cute. I actually taught him to say that too. "Hey Dad, I'm so stinken cute" he said as he showed off the hair when we got home.

Easter Egg Hunt

We had a great time with the "Dyck" Family on Sunday to celebrate Easter. The kids enjoyed an Easter egg hunt in our back yard and they all got a little crazy on the sugar. As you can see Andy took it quick seriously, knowing the contents of the eggs, and raced around searching franticly for the loot. Due to his diligents, he managed to get a huge amount compared to the rest of the kids (we secretly evened the score later) . Jack, on the other hand, was a smart cookie and stopped after each one he found to open it and eat it right away. He was cranky before the hunt and extortionately happy after....who's a thunk it:) Rebecca and Luke (our adorable Niece and Nephew) were happy campers too and didn't seem to care that Andy was hogging the loot.

PS Forgot to mention...Andy had to "change his clothes" part way through the hunt....that's how excited he was...and he never does that normally :)

A little sun at the park

We had a great sunny day at Mill Lake park. Nice to see the sun for a change. I had little luck getting the boys to pose for pictures but it works getting them when they are not looking too!
