Here we are again walking the trails near our home. Andrew had his handy little tripod so we did a few family shots, without having to put my D700 in the snow like last week:)
I have a wonderful photographer friend who once said to me that she wants to create images that when people walk by them, they smile. I love that! I can't help but smile when I see images of my boys. God has given me so much and I am so grateful! Here are my favorites.
Andrew did these ones. He was dancing around like a crazy man to make the kids smile. It made me smile too;)

Ray & Maureen Engagement
Melissa & Tyrel TTD Part Three
Here's the final post from the TTD shoot this weekend. I have an engagement sessions today so check back in a day or two for more photos.
Melissa doing a little spin.
I love this image! Her eyes are stunning. We did a little off camera flash for the next two images. I love the winter landscapes!
Yes, these two will make beautiful babies;)This is just so darn pretty.
Final shot of the day. They were freezing but I managed to talk them into just a couple more minutes.
I had so much fun with this couple I wish they'd do it all over again...the wedding and the TTD:) Thanks Tyrel and Melissa for being such amazing subjects and fun people all around!

TTD & Before and After
I've had a lot of questions from friends, clients and photographers about what I do and they are often surprised how many hours I spend behind the computer. Here, in a nut shell, is the reason why. You can see from the images below that although many photographs are fine straight out of the camera, they can be amazing with a little editing. This is the digital era and I love molding an image in photo shop almost as much as I love taking that image. Here are some samples for the TTD shoot this morning.
Before
After. Just popped the colour and softened it a bit.Before. This image was a little underexposed and not quite centered...hey, nobody's perfect! :)This is much better!
I love this image just the way it is but....
...this is great too.
Before. Melissa looking smokin! It's just a little dull.
After. A few minutes and voila! She's popping off the page.
Before. I love this shot! Melissa was such an amazing trooper. I had a vision of a bride laying in snow as if it were sand. She sure pulled it off!
After. Of course the colours are much better here. Love Photo Shop!
