Just a few more for the bride

You'll recognize this adorable couple from a few weeks back. Michelle is patiently waiting on the photos so here are a few more to help with the wait.

The first kiss.Mike adores Michelle. There was no hiding this. All day he was catching glimpse of his beautiful wife. This was taken shortly after the vows and signing of the registrar.
Happy Newlyweds!
The rain had just stopped so we headed out from the covered area we were shooting in. I caught this as we took a stroll around the park.
Love Michelle's expression here!
Mike with the ladies.

Awe, Pretty! Thanks again guys for a great day!

I will be away for the next couple weeks for a family reunion and then back to back weddings. Look for more posts in the middle of August.

A little more flash fun

Just a few shots of the lovely Bekki. Love off camera flash!

Flash Fun

Here's some fun shots of the boys. It's been a while since they were my subjects and we spiced it up a bit by using some off camera flash. This is something I love to do but don't get to do that often. Andy was totally into it because I told him he could do whatever he wanted. Check out my little superstar. He's really not as much into baseball as into playing with toy that is actually meant to hit something.

Jack wanted to hold the flash.

Once the baseball bat novelty wore off he actually posed himself.
Love those baby blues!
Jack was "watering the garden" for me this whole time so needless to say, me and my camera kept our distance for the most part:)

Learning New Things

I love love love photography...in case you haven't noticed. Whenever I get the chance to learn something new in my field I jump at the opportunity. The day after my last wedding I was in Burnaby for a couple days to work with some great photographers and learn some of their thoughts on the business. Although there wasn't a lot of shooting time I did manage to get a couple of shots on day two. John Ratchford was the visionary behind these images and he is amazing.

He was teaching us some fantastic thoughts on photographing seniors. No, not ones with gray hair but the graduating types. I am so full of new ideas that I am bursting at the seems!

IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW IS ENTERING GRADE TWELVE THIS YEAR BE SURE AND CONTACT ME FOR SOME FREE PHOTOGRAPHY AND PRODUCTS.

It is still a relatively new concept in Canada to have a professional photographer, outside of the school hired photographers, to photograph your cap and gown shots as well as some fresh fun portraits. I am really excited about diving into this new market.
This photos has some fun new photo shop actions applied to it. Check out TRA if you like the vibe of this image.
This is what it looks like before any extra enhancements. Still pretty just more mellow.

Michelle & Mike July 5th, 2008

Wow, another fantastic wedding this weekend! Could I get better clients, I think not! Michelle, Mike and the whole wedding party were so much fun to shoot. It all started at Michelle mom's place where we caught the excitement before the ceremony. Here is my absolute favorite shot of a dress I think I have ever taken. I just love it!Michelle was calm and beautiful as she prepared for her big day.
I like to keep things fresh and this shoe shot is a little different but I love it too.
A quick snap of the flowers. Divine! I absolutely love colourful bouquets.
Can I get a wow!
The ceremony was short but perfectly sweet.
So as many of you will remember, in between all this beautiful weather we're having, Saturday was rainy. This did not stop us from grabbing almost all the shots outdoors. The lovely bride and groom and the whole wedding party were fantastic. We started under a little covering outside a great restaurant called Seasons in the Park. The restaurant manager was very accommodating and we were able to get some great shots there.
In between down pours we took a little walk around the park. We found a lot of great spots. And for someone who claims not to like photos Mike was an excellent sport.
Michelle was stunning!
There is a tropical feel to this image, not to mention romantic.
The reception took place in New West and the decor was beautiful.
And introducing the lovely Natalie! She's worked with me once before and has proven to be a huge asset! She was holding reflectors like the best of them. Not to mention a super dance star!
AWE!!!
Here's Michelle cutting a rug with her proud poppa.
Speaking of fathers, this is the father of the groom. I would love to show you more of the many faces he has but I'll stick with this one cause it's quite tame. He was an absolute riot for the whole wedding.
Some of the lovely lovely bridesmaids working it!
The best man stole Michelle for some fun.
I love getting the sunsets and this wedding had a great one. I think that is three in a row now. I'm on roll:)
Thanks Mike & Michelle for inviting me into your special day! It was truly a great time and I can't wait to show you the rest of the shots. Enjoy your Jamaican Vacation!

Computer Problems....again

We had the best time with this awesome couple and their fantastic wedding party. Pictures to follow in a few days but for right now I am computer-less again! Yesterday before the wedding my computer was again making a strange noise and now I'm waiting to find out the problem. If you've read earlier posts you'll know all about the pain I've had with my computer in the passed couple of months and this is the icing in the cake......I am throwing out all computers and computer related equipment, switching back to my handy film Minolta camera and never using the internet again. I'm very dramatic;)

Okay, I promise to get back on the horse again. I'll be back in a few days and a better attitude:)

At the request of the groom

Here is another sneak peek for Micheal & Michelle and their lovely wedding done at the end of May. This is their adorable daughter before the ceremony began.
This kiss!Everyone looking cool. We had a great time on the beach and it was beautiful!
Awe, they were so cute. I really felt the love between these two!
Love the colours of this oneThanks again guys for the great day!

Sandi & Daryl

Another great wedding this past weekend. I really do have the best job! This fantastic couple were so easy going and fun to work with. They tied the knot at Bakerview church in Abbotsford (so nice to have a job in my own home town) and then we took a little trip out to Bradner to get some great photos at a stunning private property. Here are a few of my favorites.

There was some great light shinning through the church illuminating the register table. This is my favorite shot.
Here is the amazing view we had of the Fraser river. Put that together with these cuties and it's pure magic!
Wow, what a stunner!
Oh la la!
Such pretty light
You can catch a glimpse of Mount Baker in the back.
Something a little different. Ah, so relaxed!
Love this stunning light again!
The groom found this cool window and bench. Great eye Daryl! I love the feel of this...umm romance!
Yeah, she's pretty eh Daryl!?
And if the view and such weren't enough they have this cool bridge.
Big shout out to the lovely ladies who did the decor for the wedding. It was beautiful and when they have their website up and running we'll get a link.
There's no better way to cool down. Slurpee!!

We were just in the nick of time to catch this lovely sunset on the railway tracks. So so pretty!
Thank-you Thank-you Daryl and Sandi for a fantastic day. Enjoy the Cook Islands!
