Obsessed with the Dress

If you've ever been a client of mine you will already know this but I'm obsessed with wedding dresses. I can spend extreme amounts of time photographing them. Here are some shots taken at a recent wedding. I think I put the dress in four or five different place to get these images. I've even been known to re-arrange furniture to get that perfect shot. Yes, obsessive, I know, but I can't help myself and I'm always happy I spent the time getting them. Enjoy:)

My New Baby......Camera Baby!

I'm so so excited! The D700 is mine, all mine! And did I mention a little 50mm 1.4 lens too;)
I just shot a few quick shots in the living room with the kids. It's great in low light and there's great depth of field with the 1.4 too. Enough with the camera lingo, on with photos! Lovin their Blue Eyes!
More baby blues.
Peek-a-boo

Lani & Tim 08-23-08

Yet another hot day in the Valley! We had some fun in the sun with Lani and Tim. It stared out at a beautiful backyard in Langley.
This dress was worn by their adorable little girl who was the flower girl.
And of course the stunning dress.
Here's that little adorable one I was talking about. So sweet!
It was a very happy ceremony and we had no trouble catching everyone with grins.
Lots of laughs.
And a fabulous first kiss!
Introducing the Mr. and Mrs!
We then went to yet another beautiful backyard in Langley. I really need to get a place like this!
Off to Fort Langley & some shots of the great wheels. Lani was an awesome jumper. Check out the height she got in a wedding dress and heels. WOW!
Very cool!
Loving the rings & flowers.
Love love love the great laughs we had from these two! They have great chemistry.
Pretty Pretty!
A little walk by the river.
Did I mention the chemistry yet?? No encouragement required:)
Had a great day with you, Lani and Tim! Thanks and Congratulations!

Sarah & Todd 16-08-08

Sarah and Todd were married on one of the hottest days of the year but that sure didn't stop us from having loads of fun. Here are some shots from their day.

The bridesmaids were not only beautiful but so wonderful to work with.
These guys were a hand full! Lets just say they had Shayna and I in stitches all day!
Such a lovely moment with Sarah's parents both walking her down the aisle.
Kiss!
I so love this photo. The expression on Sarah's face says it all.
We had some fun with the whole crew down at Deep Cove.
Todd needed no encouragement to squeeze his lovely bride!

Love the blue water here.
A few shots we took during a break from the reception.
Great speeches all night keep everyone laughing and crying.
Congrats to you Sarah and Todd. It was a fantastic day!!

Ryan & Ashley 08-09-08

So, it's been a while! I haven't blogged in a few weeks so I've had some catching up to do. I was away for a family reunion (see post below), followed immediately by a trip to Alberta for a wedding (more posts below too) and the day after I returned home, another wedding. It's been busy but fun! I will be officially back in the office tomorrow to return emails and get down to business.

Here's a few shots from Ashley and Ryan's wedding. This dress shot took a little work including some help from the bride and bridesmaids. Thanks Ladies, it was worth it!The ladies getting the dress on. Those wedding dresses always take a lot of work to get on but the end result is so worth it!
Yes, still working on the dress:)Wow! Need I say more!?
After the ceremony we took a little drive to a small lake in Port Coquitlam for the family shots and a few of the bride and groom. Ryan and Ashley are experts at the dip and kiss!
The day started with a downpour but by the time we did the formals the sun popped out! Yeah!
They are such a cute couple!
Ashley workin' it. She was brave and hopped up on a banister over looking the lake. I love courageous brides. You rock girl!
I love this one in black and white! It just pops.
After the lake we went to Ashley's aunts house for a few more with the wedding party.
The groom was very sharp!
Here's something a little different. It's very romantic I think.
The back yard was beautifully landscaped and they had some great rock stairs.
The reception was held at the Coquitlam Rod and Gun Club. The cake cutting always starts off so pretty......
And then this happens! LOVE IT!
And last but not least, the first dance. So happy!
Another great wedding! Thanks Ashley and Ryan, you and your "crew" were awesome!
