Eddi & Dara 08-07-08

I was in Alberta this past week for Eddi and Dara's wedding. I was very excited about it because not only is Dara my cousin but I also got the opportunity to shoot in a different landscape. The wedding did not disappoint. The weather was great, the bride was beautiful and we had a great sunset. What more could a photographer ask for?!

Loved this ring shot. I put them into the vase holding sand for the sand ceremony. The ceremony was held on the family farm where they have these great old rustic buildings. Here's one with the dress.
Dara having her make up done.
The beautiful flower girl, my cousin, Shania.
Wow, stunner!
Dara and her dads.
It was sunny! Loved the glasses guys:)
That's one happy couple!
Some cool chicks.
Here's the cool building again.
Love it!
Only in Alberta.... No, they are not loaded.

A model shot.
Rings
These were taken during a great emotional speech given my my aunt and mother of the bride.
A few tears.
And a lot of good laughs too.
I love cake fights!
There was this cool door at the hall and of course I had to make Dara pose!
Now for the best shots.....check out a little off camera flash. My lovely assistant (aka my brother James) held the flash for me.
We don't see sunsets like this in BC very often.
Dara was smokin'
I think this is my favorite.
Thanks so much Dara and Eddi for including me in your day! I had such a great time and can't wait to visit Alberta again.

Chapman Family Camp

On August long weekend we headed off to Revelstoke for our family reunion. Of course Andrew had to take a bit of an alternate route that involved a little four wheeling but the scenery was beautiful . Check out these wild flowers! How many Chapman's does it take to set up a tent?!
We went on a little hike and Jack was tuckered out!
Samantha and I
Yes, my kids do love the dirt!
My uncle with his camera. He's had a video camera in his hand since I was a kid!
My mom with some pretty light.

Isn't this familiar? I can always capture my kids playing in the water.
Who needs toys when you have a stack of wood?! The kids played with it for hours!
Awe! Keziah my niece is growing up so fast.
My "little" brother Kevin looking a bit like a surfer dude!
I have a ton more pictures but these will have to do for now:)

Rebecca and Luke's Birthday

Back at the end of July we celebrated my niece and nephew's birthdays.Jack got a new bike a while back and he's riding like a pro.
Yummy cake!

Isn't Luke adorable!
Andy being a monkey as usual!
Oma with the kids.

The boys in the backyard...again

Okay, so I do this all the time . Grab the camera when the kids are playing in our backyard. I have heard that some photographers don't want to touch their cameras on their days off but that isn't me. I can never get enough of it. Here are a few shots taken a couple weeks ago. This swing set was given to us from Grandma and Grandpa and the kids never seem to get tired of it.
Check out the mud on this boy!
Jack was lying on the grass while I tickled him.
Yes, Andy needed a hair cut. After taking this picture the scissors came out.

Just a few more for the bride

You'll recognize this adorable couple from a few weeks back. Michelle is patiently waiting on the photos so here are a few more to help with the wait.

The first kiss.Mike adores Michelle. There was no hiding this. All day he was catching glimpse of his beautiful wife. This was taken shortly after the vows and signing of the registrar.
Happy Newlyweds!
The rain had just stopped so we headed out from the covered area we were shooting in. I caught this as we took a stroll around the park.
Love Michelle's expression here!
Mike with the ladies.

Awe, Pretty! Thanks again guys for a great day!

I will be away for the next couple weeks for a family reunion and then back to back weddings. Look for more posts in the middle of August.
